Cruise Companies Soon to Release their Season
2021/2022 Itineraries

Argentina

The re-opening for cruise season in the Southern Cone: Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay is now a fact. This was precisely confirmed by the main companies operating in the region: MSC and Costa Cruceros.

Both companies have confirmed ships, dates, and itineraries planned for the upcoming months. MSC has confirmed that five ships will be cruising the South Atlantic between December 2021 and March 2022. Three of them will have Buenos Aires as home port and the other two will be destined to the Brazilian market, one of them with circuits to Argentina and Uruguay.

On the other hand, Costa Cruceros has announced that the company will operate with two ships: Costa Smeralda and Costa Fascinosa starting in November 2021. The Costa Fascinosa will arrive at Buenos Aires’ port on December 17, 2021, and its last embarkation will take place on April 9, 2022, for the Argentina-Italy crossing. The Costa Smeralda, launched in December 2019 – will be the largest ship operating in the history of the South American season, as an official statement of the Italian company.

Tourism authorities of Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay are analyzing under what conditions to approve the operation of cruises for the next summer season together with port and health authorities. These entities are determining which protocols and requirements shall be implemented for the safe operation of these journeys.
