Then, the expedition continues with visits to various attractions based on the legend of Juan el Osito, a mythical character of Chachapoya culture.   • Chuquiaj, Bird of Water Route

Cuemal’s community welcomes visitors to celebrate their traditions. The route highlights the Chuquiaj (bird of water), according to the beliefs of farming communities, its presence marks the start of the rainy season. Along with this tradition, visitors will enjoy the dance of the Chuquiaj, a representation of Zorzal bird movements. Besides, enjoy the Siete Potajes Feast for lunch, prepared with local ingredients from the orchard.

  • Karajia, Pucahuia Warriors Route

  • La Minga, Music and Dance for Abundance

Nuevo Huacas district receives its visitors to celebrate la Minga.  It is an ancestral practice where all the community helps each other to harvest or plant along with music and dances.
