Day 2: Full day trekking to the base of Torres del Paine:
One of the most famous hikes of the Paine trails is demanding, but it rewards you with the imposing view of the three granite towers.
This walk is characterized by its great ascent toward the viewpoint. The climb is for 1 hour bordering the Ascencio River until arriving at the Passage of the Winds. From here it is 30 minutes to the Chilean Camp where we can take a little break.
The hike continues to climb the forest for 1.5 more hours, gaining height quickly. The last hour is the toughest, where the trail zigzags up a moraine or loose rock, being exposed to the wind and an unpredictable climate. The descent starts on the same trail and takes approximately 4 hours to reach the starting point, so you need good knees and solid physical condition.
We will return to the hotel for Dinner and take time to relax, after this full-day excursion.
Day 3: Lago Grey navigation and Condor Lookout trek :
We will navigate in the morning on a comfortable and modern boat to Grey Glacier, where you will have spectacular views of radiant, blue ice, and floating icebergs in turquoise-grey water, feel the Patagonian wind on your face. On your way to visit the glacier, you will also enjoy views of Paine Grande Mountain, Paine Massif, forests that border the lake, mountains made of igneous rock, and snowy peaks that reach the clouds.
If you are lucky, you will see and hear pieces of glacier ice detach and fall into the water. Afterward, we will return to the hotel for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will drive about 45min toward the center of Torres del Paine National Park, where we begin our hike. It is a simple trek with a maximum height of 400 m.a.s.l, starting at 45 m.a.s.l. There is an incredible view of the Paine River and Lake Pehoé, with its turquoise colors facing the magnificent Paine Range. At the top of this viewpoint, with some luck, it is possible to see Condors.
After the descent, we return to the hotel.
Day 4: Transfer to Punta Arenas and return to Santiago:
